The IsoPod Solo is the solution to safely containing and housing an infected person for an extended isolation period in an environment that acts as a replica of a typical isolation ward. The IsoPod is designed and built to the specifications set out by the World Heath Organization.
The Solo uses a negative room pressure ventilation system coupled to a built in air filtration system. This air filtration system makes use of HEPA filters which removes airborne particles and regulates air changes to the standards set out by the WHO for clean rooms. The negative room pressure environment ensures that air is allowed to naturally flow into the IsoPod and through the filters preventing cross contamination with the surrounds.
The units are manufactured with a steel frame which is coated in a sterile coating approved by the WHO for hospital beds. Walls comprise of a non-toxic polymer coated board which is resistant to chemicals, so it is suited for daily sterilization. The floor of the Pod is covered in hospital grade vinyl flooring.
Each of the IsoPods has tempered glass windows on both the front and side which act to allow natural light to enter the pod. This can controlled via a roll down plastic blind. For night time there are embedded LED lights which can be operated via a switch housed on the counter unit.
There are 4 plug points housed on the counter unit inside the IsoPod Solo.
