Eyona Entertainment go with Martin Audio’s Wavefront Precision to delivers the Laughs.

Eyona Entertainment are a KwaZulu Natal based Entertainment and Events company that offer 360-degree solutions for events and functions around Southern Africa.  Their team designed and built an incredible event for Celeste Ntuli’s “Celeste & Da Big Dudes” show on the 11^th of August 2024. A sold-out crowd attended the event to listen to Celeste Ntuli, Skhumba, Mpho Popps,  Simphiwe Lizwi Shembe , Mojak Lehoko, Sandile Makhanya, Robby Collins, Ndumiso Lindiwhich deliver their lines through Martin Audio’s potent WPC system.

The team at Eyona Entertainment deployed 16 of Martin Audio’s WPC Tops, in an 8-a-side hang. WPC is a 3-way bi-amped compact line array with 2 x 10” drivers in a Hybrid configuration with marries the benefits of both horn and reflex loading.  Each driver is slot-loaded into a short horn to give a high sensitivity, while the rear of the driver is reflex-loaded to extend the LF output. Mid and HF horns are physically separate in the box — a key factor in the WPC’s exemplary 100° horizontal constant directivity dispersion pattern. With a peak SPL of 135dB its high efficiency acoustic design can equal or outperform larger, direct radiator systems.

These were paired with 8 of Martin Audio SXH218 subs. These 2 x 18″ Passive Hybrid® Horn/Reflex Subwoofers are capable of producing up to 148dB peak output at 1m. With an operating range of 32-150Hz + 3dB, the subs feature dual long-excursion 18”/4.5” voice coil neodymium drivers, with water resistant cones and triple roll surrounds.  This entire configuration was driven by 2 x Martin Audio Amp Racks running iK42 4-channel 20,000W Class D Power Amplifiers.

With the number of channels needed to run the show seamlessly the Allen & Heath Avantis was the ideal choice, Avantis features 64 channel / 42 configurable bus digital mixing console, it features dual 15.6” Full HD touchscreens, 24 assignable Softkeys, 24 faders with 6 layers and a host of other features making it the obvious choice for the application.

As soon as the acts hit the stage, it was clear that the right choice had been made, Martin Audio and Allen & Heath delivered a world class audio experience!
