MC2 Audio Ltd. has been manufacturing technologically innovative amplifiers of the highest quality for the pro-audio market since 1994 when original founders Terry Clark and Ian McCarthy first combined their extensive experience in the audio industry to found MC² Audio.
Terry originally gained a worldwide reputation for design as co-founder and Technical Director of Klark Teknik. Ian’s early experience was in hi-fi before moving into the manufacture of public address equipment in 1979 and then into professional audio in the early 1990s.
The story began in 1994 with the launch of the MC series at AES in Amsterdam. These amplifiers were received enthusiastically, being among the first in the market to be digitally controlled.
The very high standards of sonic quality and reliability were set which all products that followed would have to meet. From the first the MC Series enjoyed particular interest from the discotheque and night-club market, where it proved itself capable of maintaining its high performance levels in the most demanding conditions.
