Audiosure bring the decision makers to Sound.Light.Vision at Rhema Church
The Audiosure team raised the bar for professional product showcases in South Africa with their incredible representation at Sound.Light.Vision 2025. The event took place at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg from the 15th to 17th of July. The main auditorium allowed for the large format demonstration of our range of Martin Audio Line Arrays, as well as the exceptional output of our Chauvet Professional range of Lighting Fixtures, whilst the break-way rooms provided the perfect space for us to showcase our range of Allen & Heath, ChamSys and Lampro products. We were also honoured to be joined by our supplier representatives from all over the world.
Opening the event was an address from Greg Payne where he led attendees through Audiosure as a group and explained both our footprint, product offerings, technical advice as well as our commitment to back-up and service of our products
John Greaves then took the audience through our range of Martin Audio Products, demonstrating their efficiency in the cavernous space of Rhema Bible Church, using a range of Line Array, Constant Curvature, Coaxial Driver and Point Source Speakers driven by seventeen powerful iKON amplifiers.
Drawing the spotlight were the Wavefront Precision Line Arrays with 32 boxes of WPC and 16 boxes of WPS in side-by-side hangs. The Wavefront Precision series draws on the multi-cellular array technology found in Martin Audio’s legendary MLA boxes to bring the Martin Sound, consistent coverage, and control to a wider range of touring applications, installations, and budgets. Using scalable resolution companies can grow their inventory in steps by starting with a setup that utilizes a single amp to drive 4 boxes and adding more amps and boxes further down the line depending on the usage. The WPC and WPS boxes were reinforced by eight of the unique Cardioid SXCF118’s which were also flown with the Line Array.
These new subwoofers feature an 18” forward facing driver with a 14” rear facing driver each driven independently by separate amplifier channels. This unique cardioid configuration translates to 21dB of rear rejection at 43Hx with 28dB at 75Hz meaning more energy going toward the audience and less shaking and rumble of the stage. To complete the coverage the team used a combination of Blackline X8’s and Torus T1215 boxes as front fills from the stage.
On the ground were six SX218’s, which were positioned with eight boxes of the SXH218. While the SX218 are a more conventional subwoofer configuration, the SXH218 boxes combine the acoustic efficiency and impact of bass horn technology with the low frequency extension of a reflex design delivering breath taking bass performance. This unique fusion of subs allowed for some unique configurations, including one where John positioned WPM boxes directly over the ground stacked subs with the help of the Martin Audio universal bracket to ensure neat and directional use. These same subwoofers were also paired with the FP12’s from the new FlexPoint range to show off the continuity of the range and how each box integrates perfectly with Wavefront Precision and TORUS arrays where fill and delay loudspeakers are required — ensuring the same superb sonic characteristics and consistent coverage throughout the venue. The FlexPoint range are compact and discreet — providing ultimate clarity, detail and coverage at all sound levels without affecting sight lines or detracting from venue architecture.
To represent a club system two THS point source loudspeakers were paired with SX218’s to show off the innovative three-way triaxial configuration which delivers exceptionally high sound levels (up to 135dB peak!) with an extended frequency response that’s perfectly suited to medium-scale club applications.
Another unique box that impressed listeners throughout the week were the Torus T1230, T1215 and T820 Constant Curvature Array Loudspeakers. This constant curvature range was designed to fill the gap between Line Array and Point Source with a fixed vertical pattern of 15 or 30 degrees with a flexible horizontal pattern that can adjusted between 90, 60, or 75 degrees via an adjustable Dynamic Horn Flare.
All the speakers were driven by Martin Audio’s mighty iK42 power amplifiers. These immensely powerful and efficient amplifiers provide up to 1000 FIR filter taps at 48 kHz which ensures superb sound under a wide range of arduous live conditions. The iK42 is capable of up to 5000W at 2 ohms into each of the four available channels on the amplifier. This potent power is protected by a range of DSP effects including a sophisticated loudspeaker limiter suite which incorporates peak, RMS and excursion limiting, as well as multiband limiting for passive 2-way systems. Rounding out the range from Martin Audio was a pair of the portable Blackline X powered series XP12’s matched to a pair of XP118 and a pair of thundering LE200 stage monitors.
Kevin George then took to the stage to show off the wide world of Chauvet Professional products! He started with the Atmospheric products to set the stage, with Amhaze Stadiums responsible for charging the atmosphere.
Next on the agenda were the blinder effects and this is where the COLORStrike M and Strike V fixtures leapt into focus. Even dialed back to under 5% these powerful blinders lit up the entire space with bright vivid colors and pixel mappable outputs. The Rogue Outcast range then came to the fore with the Rogue Outcast 1 Beam Wash, Rogue Outcast 2X Wash, and Rogue Outcast 3 Spot all featured. The Rogue Outcast Range delivers uncompromising performance in IP65-rated housings that are built to brave the harshest environments. Precision optics, powerful output, and cutting-edge effects ensure the Rogues are reliably delivering their brand of high-impact performance under any condition.
The stage was then set for the brand-new Maverick Storm 1 Flex to spring into action. This top tier rugged, IP65-rated all-in-one fixture was built for the most demanding touring and outdoor production environments and made its African debut at the show. Featuring a custom-designed CMY LED engine, it delivered intense full-spectrum strobe effects, dynamic washes, and blinder capabilities both above and on sides of the main stage.
One of the stars of the Chauvet Professional show was then unveiled, the mind-blowing COLORado PXL Curve 12’s. These fully pixel‑mappable fixtures offer full RGBW color across each of the 12 independently motorized heads – each with precise tilt up to 200° and a zoom range from 5.7° to 36.3°, enabling pin-sharp beams, sweeping washes, and volumetric visuals. Kevin finished off his presentation with a spectacular lighting show utilizing all the fixtures on the stage, totems and hanging from trussing to enthrall audiences with intense splashes of complementary color and effects.
Adjacent to the stage were two areas set aside for more personal demonstrations with Lampro LED panels occupying one room with the other being shared by Allen & Heath and ChamSys lighting controllers.
Lampro sent across three representatives to Audiosure Sound.Light.Vision 2025 event with Henry leading a delegation from Unilumin’s head office in Shenzhen accompanied by Yanice, and technical lead Samuel from the Lampro offices in Nigeria also joining. Together with Stefan Swanepoel they set up a variety of models and pixels pitches to show off the incredible colors and contrast ratio that LED panel can deliver. From the mind-bending 0.9 pixel pitch indoor Lmini P panels to the incredible outdoor LRSO 2.9 and 3.9 pitch units that deliver billboard advertising to roads and buildings around the world, the screens captured the attention of all who attended. Suspended from a huge truss structure, attendees got the chance to take a close look at the screen from both the front and the back to fully understand the ecosystem. All the panels were all driven by Novastar controllers pushing high-definition Go Pro action footage onto every pixel. Other models exhibited at the show were the BNXII commercial range in 1.5-, 1.9- and 2.5-pixel pitches. These advanced LED panels are engineered for superior brightness, color accuracy, and seamless performance for broadcast, studio, and commercial applications.
Powered by advanced diffusion technology, the LDAII range boasted seamless brightness with minimal glare that is a perfect fit for Indoor Commercial spaces. The reliable, robust and razor-sharp LHP Series brought their blend of power and precision to the show, they are often used in broadcast, retail, and control rooms where sharp images are a must. Finally, the large format LST was shown in large 6.6mm pixel pitch showing its suitability for fixed installations where high-impact visuals and minimal depth matter most.
The Allen & Heath section housed the entire range of digital mixers available from the legendary British Manufacturers. One of the highlights of the week was the chance for attendees to be the first in the world to see and interact with the entire range of newly launched QU mixers. Each mixer in the range was fitted with a pair of AKG K240 headphones and a dynamic microphone so attendees could explore multitracks and the auto-gain feature that was added to the range. These were accompanied by the super compact CQ series at the entrance of the Allen & Heath room. Further along was the very popular SQ range with the SQ-5, SQ-6 and SQ-7 taking their places beside the newly launched SQ-Rack.
The incredible Avantis and Avantis Solo continue to impress with their 64 input / 42 bus 96kHz engine and their display point was always a busy space in the room. The AHM 16 and 32 units were also on show and starting conversations about how a compact matrix unit can fit all the power from the large format console in a single Rack space!
Then to complete the range the team managed to organize a range of dLive surfaces with the C3500, an S5000 and the actual S7000 desk that is used to mix the Big Brother Africa show making an appearance. The large format desks were all connected to a DM64U mixrack to demonstrate the ability for all the coupled surfaces to share inputs and outputs.
Also sharing the room with Allen & Heath were the ChamSys lighting controllers. Headed up by Simon Cox from ChamSys in the UK the team set up the full range of desks in the range and demonstrated new networking pieces from GeNetix. The feature piece was the powerful MQ500M+ desk. This 400-universe monster is the gold standard for touring bands, shows and broadcasts the world over. Dual HD 15” touch screens support full multitouch with RGB-illuminated faders and encoder playbacks, with 15 fully motorised fader playbacks, 15 encoder playbacks and 12 backlit multi-purpose Macro/Execute/Playbacks/Palette keys, giving the console an incredible total of 42 playbacks.
Right by its side was its smaller brother, the MQ250M connected to a Chauvet Pro COLORADO 2Q ZOOM to demonstrate the shutter control function. The more compact MQ70 and MQ50 were also there and connected to fixtures various Chauvet Professional speakers so people on the stand could control the lights and immerse themselves in the ChamSys ecosystem.
Adorning the entrance of the hall was the ever popular Quick Q range with the Quick Q10, Quick Q20 and Quick Q30 and Quick Rack products. They were joined at the entrance with the newly launched GeNetix brand. This fledgling brand deals with the connection side of the Lighting show with dedicated Nodes and Networking infrastructure products to simplify shows by using network cables in place of bundles of DMX cable.
Sound.Light.Vision 2025 ended up catering for close to 1000 attendees across the three days and dazzled audiences with crystal clear sound demos, dazzling lighting and attention to detail across all the stands. The event was a resounding success for both Audiosure and the World-Class brands it represents. Thank you to all that attended.
