Production and Commerical Week 2024
Audiosure changed up the format this year and orientated their focus onto the Production and Commercial Dealer sector. In place of the traditional evening Dealer events, the team opted to mix it up and upgrade the experience to offer a series of specialized Brand orientated workshops and product training sessions across the course of the morning and afternoon. This lineup was then repeated for the duration of the week to allow both Production and Commercial Install companies to book times for themselves and their crews that were both convenient to them and their businesses. To further add value to the experience, Martin Audio, Optimal Audio, Allen & Heath and Chauvet all sent European representatives to talk and add their layer of expertise to the Product Specialists voices in the training sessions.
Over 280 people across 80 companies heeded the call and booked time to attend. Guests on the days were greeted on their arrival by a Vivitek Display, before being welcomed with a Finger Breakfast and Coffee, and then being assigned to a group for those covered products, solutions and ecosystems from luminary brands such as Allen & Heath, ChamSys, Chauvet Pro, DSPPA, Martin Audio and Optimal Audio. Each of these intimate sessions offered industry specific product and application exposure with live demos, so customers could experience the full benefits of the gear in the environments that they would be utilized in.
In the Allen & Heath sessions Tamas Vass, the EMEA sales manager, assisted Lesedi in covering the new dLive v2 plugin suite as well as guiding people through the range from the dLive S and C Class surfaces, to more compact Avantis and Avantis Solo surfaces, as well as covering the SQ, QU, and CQ ranges. The new limited Xone92:A DJ Mixer also made an appearance in the sessions. Once the groups were acquainted with the range, Lesedi and Tamas also dived into the AHM ecosystem to show how it could be used to transmit and control multiple aspects of installed audio in any environment.
Alex Barrand from Optimal Audio in the UK got stuck into his session with vigour and a depth of understanding that was apparent to all who attended his sessions. With years of experience running a legendary venue such as the Ministry of Sound in London, his proficiency was on display for all to see and build upon. A deep understanding of all the processes that are happening in a working venue daily lends itself to building comprehensive solutions, and Alex and John Greaves both aptly demonstrated the quality of the hardware as well as its amazing integration in the apps and software that simplifies all of these processes.
In the ChamSys section Oscar Chauke ably showed off the entire range of Lighting controllers, from the latest flagship MagicQ Stadium 500M+ all the way to the capable Magic Q Compact Mini Connect. Using two Chauvet DJ Intimidator’s in his area he demonstrated how quick and easy it was to identify, map and control the fixture and build complex scenes and universes of lights with some of the controllers such as the MQ500M+, which is able to handle 400 universes direct from the console without the need for external processing.
The Chauvet DJ and Chauvet Pro sessions were also one of the highlight sessions, with two of the new PXL Curve 12’s on full display alongside a lineup of Maverick Force S Profiles, Maverick Force S Spots and the Storm 3 BeamWashes. As a full complement of the IP65 range, we also had the Rogue Outcast series, with fixtures such as the Outcast BeamWash, the Outcast 1L Beam, Outcast 2X Wash and Outcast 3 Spot ruling the roost. Then both the Strike Array 4 and the Colour Strike M blinders dazzled those in attendance and elicited more than a few companies to open their order books and get stuck in.
In the commercial space Jaco took attendees through the DSPPA range of install products which covered both the 70V/100V Line speakers and amplifiers as well as the low impedance systems. Of particular interest was the DSP 3010H 200W Water Resistant Horn Speaker. A smaller room demonstrated the D62 Conference system which is capable of supporting up to 4096 microphones with 4 Channels of auto tracking cameras and a selection of peripheral hardware to accommodate any budget and spec.
The Martin Audio sessions took place at the end of every morning and afternoon, so the entire group of attendees could gather into the high-end showroom and experience the full might of the Martin Audio cabinets, amplification and processing in a controlled environment. The session started with the smaller Adorn range, before moving onto the newly launched FlexPoint boxes then covering Blackline X, CDD, TORUS, and TH series before moving onto the Wavefront Precision WPS system. This system was then paired with both the SXHF218 and SX218 Subwoofers. Suraj Vader from Martin Audio handled these info sessions alongside our very own John Greaves.
A huge thank you goes out to all the clients that attended, to all the brands that came out to support us, as well as our fantastic Audiosure team who all put in time to make this week sparkle.
