Some of South Africa’s biggest headliners hit the stage at the packed Spring Fiesta at Wild Waters, Boksburg. This year’s attendees saw luminary acts like the Scorpion Kings, DJ Kent SA , Dj shimza, Nasty C SA, Mi Casa and many more talented performers take the main stage.Spring Fiesta is an annual event held on the first weekend of October at the Wild Waters Waterpark in Boksburg. This year, it featured six stages, and a variety of local talent from around the country entertained the crowds. Sound Corporation was given responsibility for the Main stage, and to deliver the best outcome possible, they used the very capable Allen & Heath Avantis Digital Mixer for both Front-of-House and Monitor mixing.The Avantis range of mixers from Allen & Heath are among the top-tier digital platforms. The Avantis offers Dual 15.6″ multi-touch screens with 64 total inputs and 42 buses with 16 DCAs and 24 faders with 6 layers allowing for up to 144 fader strips. The architecture is the impressive 96kHz XCVI FPGA engine with class-leading 0.7ms latency plus add-on processing from the flagship dLive mixing system. Sound Corporation had 2 of these mixers for the event, one at FOH and one for Monitoring.The GX4816 was at the heart of it. It is a 96kHz audio expander that provides high-input-count remote expansion.
